Livonia, Mi. Police Participate in “Operation Chill” Children Ticketed!

In Livonia, Mi. the Police are on the look out for kids to hand out tickets to on the streets. Any child caught doing a good deed is subject to meeting a Police Officer from Livonia or Redford who is also on the look out for good kids in conjunction with 7-Eleven as summer draws to a close. The young kids who are seen by Officers will be giving a ‘ticket’ redeemable at local 7-Eleven stores.

Mother and two children stranded in Sacramento, Helped by caring Police

Ernestina Ortiz was traveling with her two children and ended up stranded in Sacramento, Ca. without enough money to return home nor did she have enough money for lodging. Not knowing where to turn and fearing sleeping on  the streets with her children she was lucky that Sacramento Police officer Edwin Nonog found them downtown and that Sacramento Police Cares.

ST. LOUIS, Mo. Officer reaches out to 5 year old child

On August 12th 2015 5 year old Jakeem Brown witnessed his mother Whitney Brown’s murder on the streets on North St. Louis, Mo. The child witnessed a double homicide that evening and has been staying with relatives since. But it is not only relatives that are concerned about the trauma that has been inflicted on the child.

Lowell, Arkansas Police Officer Grant Hall does unto others .. and pays it forward

Ruth Corbin who is 82 years old and lives in Louisiana was making literally perhaps the most important trip of her life during which  what could go wrong did. She was on the way to see her 92 year old sister who was dying when she was involved in an accident.  Leaving the car totaled she had rented in the regional airport she had flown into. Alone, stranded and several hours away from her destination she was naturally too upset to continue on with her somber errand.

Dallas Officers treat 4 year old gunshot victim, credited for saving her life

The Dallas Morning News reported that a family of 4 were driving through the Oak Cliff area when their car was struck by gunfire from three individuals. One of the occupants of the vehicle a 4 year old child was struck in the leg with two bullets. The child’s mother attempted to halt the bleeding with a tee shirt but was unsuccessful. having knowledge of a large Police presence at a downtown event at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center the parents rushed in that area looking for officials for help.

Alexandria Community Oriented Police Section (COPS) of Va. make happy campers.

Like many Police and Sheriff’s Departments across the Nation Alexandria Police have a summer camp for kids that are underprivileged and would otherwise be left without much to do or be left to the streets in the summer. These programs are great for that purpose alone. However this year the pay off for one family and their mom was even bigger thanks to Officer Downey.

Ocala Sgt E. Hay observes and takes action

While on the way for breakfast Sgt. Erica Hay being the trained observer that she is noticed a homeless man sitting on a curb and took action. Unknown to her a  TiAnna Greene witnessed what the Ocala, Fl. Officer was about to do and took photos of the incident. TiAnna posted the photos to her facebook account and people took notice.

Charlotte, N.C . Officers replace drugs with Green Eggs and Ham!

The Woodstone Apartments located in Charlotte, N.C. was once a place inhabited by drug dealers and some oft he dregs of the area. Children who resided there learned quickly to avoid or fear the Police because of the negative impact they saw when Officers arrived.

But that has all changed. Officers there now are taking a more active role with the community after cleaning up the drug problem and are greeted warmly by the kids and residents. Everyone has benefited in the community from these efforts.

MOUNT VERNON, Wash. Dispatch receives a call from a motorist on Interstate 5 in Mount Vernon who is having some difficulty. The caller was taking her pregnant daughter who was having labor pains to Skagit Valley Hospital. However when less than one mile from the hospital they could no longer continue.
