A Slain Officer’s Daughter get’s married, with a few unexpected guests

September 19, 2015 Kirsten Mundell would be married without her father being present. He was a Deputy Sheriff named Walter Mundell who was killed in the line of duty in 2009. Kristen would not be walked by her father down the isle or have her father and daughter dance with him. However she was not alone and some people made sure she knew it.

Remembering 9/11

Fourteen years ago today on September 11, 2001 the terrible attacks on the World Trade Center, Pentagon, American Airlines Flight 11, American Airlines Flight 77, United Airlines Flight 175 and United Airlines Flight 93 shocked the world.

While people ran from the destruction heroes ran toward it to do whatever they could to rescue their fellow citizens. It never crossed their minds if they would be saving someone who held their same religious beliefs or not of If they would be helping a person who was the same color as them or not. None of that mattered; they were rushing toward the danger to help other people.

Happy Birthday Bryson!

When a 10 year old boy has a birthday and has but one wish you try to see that it comes true. 10 year old Bryson Jones who’s father Officer Brian Jones was murdered on duty in May of 2014 only asked for one thing, for some Police Officers to show up and celebrate his birthday with him.

Indianapolis, In. “God please send someone, an angel” … Prayers answered

When you are lost, almost out of gas and your cell phone has no data left on it you start getting nervous. An important meeting in an unfamiliar area leaving Grace Atherton in these circumstances left her hoping for a break and it came in the form of a K-9 Officer named Ron Shelnutt and his partner “Kyto”.

Alexandria Community Oriented Police Section (COPS) of Va. make happy campers.

Like many Police and Sheriff’s Departments across the Nation Alexandria Police have a summer camp for kids that are underprivileged and would otherwise be left without much to do or be left to the streets in the summer. These programs are great for that purpose alone. However this year the pay off for one family and their mom was even bigger thanks to Officer Downey.
