Detroit Police Sgt. Kenneth Steil was shot in the shoulder Monday, Sept. 12, 2016 in an incident at a Sunoco gas station on 7 Mile Road and Hayes Street has died as a result of his injuries.

Two officers who were shot while responding to a suicide call at a home in North Texas Friday evening are expected to recover, the Fort Worth Police Department says.

A Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office deputy has been shot, according to Sheriff Chris Francis.
Rutherford County Sheriff Deputies along with Spindale Police and North Carolina Highway Patrol assisted Rutherfordton Police Department officers at 7:53 am, on Saturday, September 17, 2016, in reference to a possibly suicidal person with a gun at 166 Monfredo St. The person was a resident of that address. Philadelphia Police are investigating a shooting in West Philadelphia that killed one civilian and injured 5 other people, including two officers. The suspect was also shot and killed following a shootout with police late Friday night.
A gunman targeting Officers carried a note titled “Doomed” fired 18 shots at an unsuspecting Philadelphia Police sergeant Friday night, then went on a rampage before being stopped, killing a woman and injuring several others. On June 2, 2013 in East Harlem a shooting had occurred on the 400 block of East 105th Street and Luciano Cajigas, 28, had been murdered. The suspect in the case had been identified as Edwin Burgos, 57, but had evaded capture all this time despite the fact that his mugshot had been distributed to the public as a person of interest. The man wanted for killing a Shelby Police Officer was arrested in Providence, Rhode Island. 23-year-old Irving Lucien Fenner Jr. of Grover, North Carolina, was arrested early this morning. He is in custody in Rhode Island.
According to broadcast reports out of Providence, Rhode Island State Police say that officers believed the man wanted for shooting and killing 38-year-old Tim Brackeent was first spotted on Oxford Street in Providence Tuesday night, setting off a massive search involving local police, U.S. Marshals and the FBI. A man ran over three officers intentionally in a parking lot this morning then fought with them. He was taken into custody at the scene.
The Phoenix Police Department has released a statement in connection with an event that happened in the early hours of Tuesday outside a convenience store. Officers had just finished a call and met up when a vehicle sped toward them and crashed into their vehicle injuring one officer as the others took cover. Detroit police have arrested a 21-year-old suspect after an officer was shot Monday night at a gas station on the city’s east side.
A sergeant from the Detroit Police Department’s 9th precinct was pursuing a shooting suspect when the shots were fired at the Sunoco gas station at 7 Mile Road and Hayes Street.
