Texas BLM Activist gets robbed at gunpoint wants more police protection – it gets better!

Recently the leader of a BLM movement in Huston got robbed at gunpoint outside his apartment. His immediate response was to be interviewed and request more Police presence to deter crime.

The story has been reported, the twist and Irony, a rebuttal by Mr. Ford and now let’s set the record straight.

Jerry Ford Jr. who recently graduated from the University of Houston stated he was entering his apartment located near the campus when a man approached him and asked him if he had a key to the building.

Ford stated that he believed the man was a student who lived in the building and stated that he did. The next thing he knew the man was pointing a gun at him and demanding his wallet and watch. The man took off running with Ford’s items.

Ford was interviewed by ABC13 and stated that the Police do not patrol that area as much as he would like. He wanted to see greater Police and security presence in that area.

According to reports Ford states that he was never anti Police he was just anti “bad Police”

Ford stated that he sees the need for increased Police presence in the area now because there is becoming a greater need for more officers. Crime rates are beginning to become more frequent in his area now. As he put it: “It’s becoming a pattern. I hope they would take a bigger stance and put more security over here because you have a lot of people walking back and forth to class.”

An Online article was written from RedState that Mr. Ford took issue with. He wrote a rebuttal on his Facebook page as he is running for public office. He explains as only a would-be politician can his platform of Black Lives Matters as:

“The phrase “Black Lives Matter” is not really a response to whites who kill Black people. It is a response to peace officers killing Black people and getting away with it. Studies show that people who live in minority and poor neighborhoods are statistically more likely to be the victims of crime, which means the people in these neighborhoods are more dependent on law enforcement for their safety and well-being. It is easy to dismiss the existence of a “small minority” of bad policemen when you live in safe suburbs and don’t need them to protect your life, property or safety”

For the record and to be clear this statement is either political doubletalk or so misleading I don’t know where to begin but I’ll try.

The best statistics available are a combined group between the CDC and FBI. Since it is even acknowledged in Mr. Fords statement that “people who live in minority and poor neighborhoods are statistically more likely to be the victims of crime” Police encounters there are more likely to be with suspects.

It is not very often that offenders run into these neighborhoods to commit offenses then run back out into better neighborhoods to reside. It is the same people who reside there that are committing these offenses. I do hope that he understands THAT MUCH.

Therefore when Police encounter these offenders and they try to arrest them, believe it or not, some of these people actually do not want to go to jail. I know it is a hard concept for Mr. Ford to understand. This is especially true when he and other BLM leaders are condoning tactics of people to question the authority of Officers at every turn. Yes this does make it more difficult for Police officers to make arrests. It DOES make problems greater when people surround officers, scream “Black Lives Matter” Start videotaping incidents, mob officers immediately believe that Police are going to do something wrong and ‘execute” a person based upon skin color.

The reality is that most black males are doing the murdering of other black males. In 2014 alone 6,789 black males were murdered mostly by other black males. These were HOMICIDES, Non justifiable MURDERS according to FBI and CDC data. In comparison the total number of deaths of black males in America were as follows:

  • 31,315 by poison
  • 27,466 by suicide
  • 10,163 fell to their death
  • 7,454 drowned
  • 6,789 were murdered by others (not Police)
  • 3,577 were killed in motor vehicle accidents
  • 248 Police shootings (mostly justified)

Let’s look at that 248 number that Mr. Ford will certainly say is FAR Too high.

Approximately 84% of the 248 were armed with a gun or knife and attempted to harm the officer when the Officer attempted to arrest them. Apparently Mr. Ford was more than willing to give an armed man whatever he wanted when confronted with a gun and was no trying to take the man’s freedom. Mr. Ford was not fighting with the man nor was he in danger as Police Officers are every time they confront a wanted person or even an unknown person just because they wear a uniform.

But Mr. Ford certainly wants protection and is demanding it now, along with more social programs at the expense of cutting police funding as a perspective BLM politician one can presume.

Of the remaining “police shootings” approximately 6% attempted to run the officer over with a vehicle. Pretty common practice when you think about it and if you believe that an officer can simply get out of the way there are many officers who have been dragged, crushed or run over and killed who are a testament that this is not always the case. 6% is quite a few as well, a far greater percentage than blacks that are killed by Police. Though far less than black people killed by other black people.

The remainder are accounted as “unarmed” however, unarmed can be anything from tire irons, baseball bats, to men who attempt to get an officers weapon and kill them with the officers own weapon. Does that happen? Why YES IT DOES! Let’s take the famous case of Michael Brown. The very case that the false narrative “Hands Up Don’t Shoot” and Black Lives Matter” was born from.

For months we heard again and again how Michael Brown had his hands up in a surrender position and was unarmed. Yet somehow this man’s DNA was all over the Officers weapon. It was because as Darren Willson had stated, Brown had assaulted him and attempted to take the weapon from his holster.

Does anyone believe for an instant that this man who was later seen CHARGING at the officer like a linebacker when the officer drew down on him was attempting to take Willsons weapon from its holster just to polish it up and give it back to him?

Mr. Ford also stated “”If you have a critique for the resistance, for our resistance, then you better have an established record of critique of our oppression. If you have no interest, if you have no interest in equal rights for black people then do not make suggestions to those who do. Sit down.””

African-American men may make up 6.6% of the U.S. population, but they account for 33% of those who have murdered police officers in the last three years. In other words, African-American men are 5 times more likely to kill a police officer, but only 3.7 times more likely to be killed by the police.

Mr. Ford makes a statement that needs to be debunked and done so right now: He states The phrase “Black Lives Matter” is not really a response to whites who kill Black people. It is a response to peace officers killing Black people and getting away with it.”

It is patently FALSE:

From DolanConsultingGroup

The Washington Post data indicates that 258 of the 990 individuals killed by the police in 2015 were African-Americans, all but 10 of which were male. So that means 25% of those who died from police use of force in 2015 were African-American men and 1% were African-Amer ica n women. On the other hand, 468 (47.3%) of those killed by the police in 2015 were white (non- Latino) males and 26 (2.6%) were white (non-Latina) females.29 In other words, almost twice as many non-Latino whites died from police use of force as did African-Americans.

According to U.S. Census estimates, however, African-American men make up only 6.6% of the U.S. population and African-American women make up roughly 6.7%.30 Therefore, many have made an issue of the 6.6% of the population versus 25% of those killed by the police comparison. The police, however, are not supposed to use deadly force against the general population, only those who are threatening them (or others) with imminent serious violence.

If Mr. Ford wants to start fighting for a cause maybe he should start fighting for the cause of the people who have been SAVING Black lives and the ones who have been protecting them. The Police, The very ones that he has been complaining about his whole time, the ones he called when he needed help.

If Mr. Ford wants to REALLY save Black Lives he needs to denounce his anti-Police campaign that is aligned with BLM and start telling the Black community to stop killing each other! He needs to tell them to work with the Police and be partners with them, to report crimes, to say something when they see it. To use his position like a TRUE community leader and help the Police by requesting more funding.

The ball is now in Mr. Fords park, will he be a politician and use his “Black Lives Matters” platform and call for defunding of Police as others have done like Breanna Champion did when she stated ““One of our major demands is that police be defunded and that that money used to fund police be used to fund black futures, and be used to fund our communities and things that we need.”

Or California State University, Los Angeles professor Nana Gyamfi, who has worked as an attorney for Black Lives Matter protesters who stated in an interview with California radio station KPPC, said her ultimate goal is a world without police officers.

“I see the police as part of the state and part of state sanctioned violence against our people, and so for me, I’m not concerned about blue lives, I’m concerned about black lives,”

“In fact, I want the police to be abolished. I think we should be pushing the police out of our community. I think that we should be defunding the police. I think that we should be demilitarizing the police and finally dismantling the police,” she continued.

Other BLM activists have called for the abolishment of Police forces altogether as seen on the Kelly File after the murder of 5 Dallas Police officers who happened to be protecting protesters of the BLM movement! That video can be seen here Chicago BLM Activist: ‘We Need to Abolish the Police’

This protester on the Kelly File sounds VERY similar to what Mr. Ford sounds like or has in the past.

Or will he be real and now admit that he was wrong, that Police are all that holds our society together and are the ONLY ONES who are protecting society. That Officers are in fact the only ones that have been protecting the weak and impoverished people from the predators?

Or will he follow his own demands he made on his Facebook page and “do not make suggestions to those who do. Sit down”
