A Patton Village Police officer and an 11 year old boy were pronounced dead as the result of a traffic accident during a pursuit with another vehicle.

Late last evening a Patton, Tx. Police Officer was attempting to investigate a complaint he had been called to which led to a persuit.

During the pursuit the suspect vehicle ran through an intersection against a red light. The Officer pursued the vehicle and was struck by another motorist who was not involved in the pursuit.

The officers vehicle was pushed into a utility pole and the other vehicle rolled over from the impact during the collision coming to rest on the shoulder of the road.
