Peachtree, GA. City Police Department helps at Youth Triathon

The Peachtree, GA. Police Department recognized the most dedicated racer at the Youth Triathlon that was held in June. He completed it on training wheels!

A very young man participated in a Triathlon in Peachtree, Georgia and he did so on Training Wheels. One Officer made sure that “Austin” had a clear path as other participants passed him.

Several photos were posted of Austin along with the following notes;

Words can not do justice to the appreciation I have for the police officers who watched over our kids today while they participated in the PTC Youth Triathlon.

A HUGE shout out to Officer Brown who took it upon himself to personally watch over my training wheeled first time racer, Austin, while he slowly pedaled the three mile course with bigger kids whizzing by him. Made Austin feel super special.

Thank you, Officers!

My son, Austin’s, favorite police officer, Officer Brown. He watched over Austin during the bike segment, then proceeded to show him the PTC police ATV and even a quick tour of a squad car. Made a six year old’s awesome day even more special.

Thank you, Officer Brown!

Austin was by far the hardest racer today at the Youth Triathon as he completed the bike race with training wheels

Remember the race does not always go to the fastest or most sure footed, but to those who persevere.
