Lou Ferrigno, the “Incredible Hulk,” becomes Honorary Niagara Falls officer on both American and Canadian sides

Lou Ferrigno, the “Incredible Hulk,” smashing records and helping communities

While actor Lou Ferrigno goes to Niagara Falls Comic Con he is made an honorary member of the Niagara Regional Police Service in Canada and the Niagara Falls Police Department of New York in one day. 

The Television star and famous athlete Lou Ferrigno was bestowed the honor of becoming an honorary Police officer of two departments in two countries in one day in one ceremony on June 3, 2016 for his message on anti-bullying and his continuous police support.

While this may not be the first time that Ferrigno has been made an honorary officer it is the first time that he has been made an officer in two countries in one day to be sure.

He is also an honorary officer of the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department, the Maricopa County, Arizona Sheriff’s Department, San Luis Obispo County, CA.  Sheriff, The Delaware County, OH. Sheriff’s office, Hamilton, Canada Police and Delaware County, Oh. Police among others.  Face it, he is Original “Hulk” and has more badges than a boy scout!

“My father was an NYPD lieutenant in Brooklyn, so to be recognized in Niagara Falls, New York and Ontario is a true honor,” said Ferrigno.

Today the Niagara Regional Police Service will be partnering with the Niagara Falls NY Police Department to recognize Lou Ferrigno – The Incredible Hulk for his long support of Law Enforcement at a ceremony at the Niagara Falls New York Police Department Headquarters in Niagara Falls, NY.

Lou Ferrigno, who is in town for ComiCon is the son of a New York City Police Lieutenant and has long been a supporter of law enforcement. In 2006 he was sworn in as a Los Angeles County, California reserve sheriff deputy and in November 2010, Lou was sworn in as a member of a Maricopa County, Arizona volunteer sheriff. He is known for promoting law enforcement and speaking out against bullying wherever he goes.
