Flagler County, FL Sheriff’s Deputy Pays it forward

Deputy Trevor Jacob pays it forward on a very hot day to vacationers

Kudos to a Kind Deputy On a Hot Day

Flagler County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Trevor Jacob was pictured (below) on Monday, May 30, changing a couple’s car tire on Belle Terre Parkway near Whiteview just before 2 p.m.

Deputy Jacob said he was driving northbound on Belle Terre when he observed the couple in the southbound lane with a flat tire so he made a U-turn and stopped to help. “They vacation here. It was a hot day and I didn’t want them sitting out there,“ Jacob said.

Someone spotted Deputy Jacob and sent this photograph to the FCSO. “I really respect the fact he pulled over and helped them. I didn’t know the people he was helping but wish I knew who he was. He deserves a thank you for his kindness and serving the community!” the resident wrote in an email.

This is a simple example of our deputies taking the time to help people in our community. Sheriff James L. Manfre encourages our deputies to regularly reach out to our community and find ways like this to provide assistance. “I’m very proud of the job our deputies do. This is exactly how we should be offering community service,” the sheriff said.

Excellent job, Deputy Jacob!
