Deputies of the Hot Spring County Arkansas Sheriff’s Department went above and beyond to ‘serve’ to help a 6 year old who has cancer.

On May 14, 2016 Deputies from the Hot Spring Sheriff’s Department served the public and a 6year old boy who is suffering from cancer. The 4 Deputies went to a local Pizzeria and served patrons giing their tops to the child’s family to assist them.

Carson Looney who is 6 years old has been diagnosed with a Looney  Neurodegenerative Central Nervous System and requires a regiment of treatments that take him frequently to children’s hospitals in Little Rock and Huston, Texas. The cost of travel is a burden that is not covered and is a great drain on his family who naturally need to be by his side.

The 4 Deputies from Hot Spring County, Sergeant Woody Perry, Deputy Amie Martin, Corporal Michael Sealy and Deputy Brian Billings decided that they would in conjunction with Larry’s Pizza in Malvern try and help Carson’s family out.

The Deputies served Pizza to customers and all their tips went to Carson’s family to help with travel expenses. The Deputies were able to raise $1,600.00 for the family.

Carson has already undergone 14 months of chemotherapy and will have to go through another 12 months of treatments. But now he knows that he has some friends that are pulling for him and serving him as best as they can.
