Bremen, GA. Routine Traffic stop no tickets just an officer who helps out a mom and her kids

A Bremen, GA. Police Officer pulled over Tara Nelson for a tail light and she was afraid that she would get a ticket. When he saw she had two of her five children buckled in seatbelts together she thought it would be worse.

On April 15, when Police Officer Keith Streetman saw that Tara Nelson had two of her five children buckled up together in the vehicle the first thing that he spoke to her about was how all of her children were so cute. He spoke to her about child safety and how much he cared about them.

The Officer offered to buy an appropriate car seat for Nelson out of his own pocket because he didn’t want to have her drive away with the kids in a dangerous situation where they might be hurt. Officer Streetman offered to take one of the children in his patrol vehicle to the local Walmart and buy booster seats for the children.

According to Nelson “My son jumped out of the car and rode with the officer. . .he was so excited.” The two cars drove to the local Walmart and there Officer Streetman bought not one but two booster seats. Then he followed Nelson to her home where he installed them for her.

“I was shocked and overwhelmed by his generosity! Before Officer Streetman left, he went over to his trunk and pulled out stuffed animals and candy for my kids and a toy car for my son!  He also gave me a pillow that looked like an animal.  It was amazing!”

During their discussions Nelson found out that Officer Streetman is also a Youth Pastor in the City of Bremen.

Nelson said about Streetman to Fox News: “All I know is God had us protected and covered! Not all cops are bad cops! Officer Keith Streetman thank you so much for gracing us and being such a BIG blessing to my family physically and spiritually! I am forever grateful!”
