On March 29, the Norfolk, Virginia Police Department posted the following on their Facebook page:
We received this FB message of an officer going way beyond the call of duty this week, and thought we would pass it along:
“I just wanted to share this with you. We have had a homeless man sleeping outside our apartment for a week. When the officer pulled up yesterday, I assumed he was asking the man to move along. Instead, he gave him a big bag of food and water and offered him a ride to the shelter. He spoke to the man with dignity and kindness. It really touched my heart. Please thank this special officer for showing compassion to those most in need!”
Thanks for sharing this great stoy!
