Mass. Police deliver 2,000 ‘care’ packages through the communities

March 11, 2016 Police Officers from Longmeadow, Springfield, Easthampton, and State Police assisted with picking up ‘care packages’ from children of Center Elementary School gym in Longmeadow on Friday. The Children participated in a program for reading where they were sponsored by local businesses and individual supporters for their efforts. Every time that the children spent an hour reading they were rewarded with an item or bag to give to the less fortunate.

The children put forth an amazing effort and read over 264,026 minutes bringing them about 2,000 bags of goods to be delivered through the communities. The bags were for dental needs, children, men and women.

Officers from the Longmeadow, Springfield, Easthampton, and State Police Departments assisted by picking up the bags from the school the delivered them to various community outreach centers in their respective areas.
