From February 4, 2016 The Minerva Park Police Dept. in Ohio reported that a Monkey was on the lose in the area. It has gained quite a bit of attention at this point on social media.
The Minerva Park Police Dept. Posted the following:
There has been a reported spotting of a monkey in the 2800 block of Lakewood Dr. Based on the description and having the witness look at photos, it may be a medium sized Howler Monkey. Do not approach. These animals are afraid of people, but can be territorial. The below photo has been picked by the witness as the monkey they saw. If you spot this animal, please call dispatch at 614-525-3333

When the post was made one person suggested that the suspected owner was a man in a yellow hat. He wrote “Here is a sketch of the suspected owner.”

The sketch of course is from the children’s book series “Curious George”. As of yet the Howler Monkey seems to be playing from another series though.
We can only wonder if the Howler Monkey’s name is Waldo?
