Virginia State Police have pursuit on Interstate of Terrier mix .. they get their man.. er .. dog safe!

January 8, 2016 Virginia State Police were kept running literally on the highway along Interstate 64 as a Terrier mix got away from it’s owner and started running through traffic trying to rescue the little dog. After seeing the animal running around two Troopers J.B. Hagwood and C.P. Dermyer responded to the area and coordinated as the animal tried to avoid being ‘taken into custody’.

Eventually they managed to scoop him up without incident and return him to his owner Jeff Corbin safe and sound for which he was very grateful.

From the Virginia State Police Page:

This cute terrier-mix (dog, not trooper) was safely reunited with its owner this morning after getting loose on Interstate 664 near Aberdeen Road in the City of Hampton. At approximately 8:30 a.m., Friday, VSP Troopers J.B. Hagwood and C.P. Dermyer responded to a call about a dog running through the travel lanes. Without injury to themselves or the dog, the troopers were able to successfully rescue the little pup.
