Riverside County, Ca. Sheriff and Santa meet 4 year old Cancer Patient

Riverside county Sheriff’s Office Help 4 year old and family devastated by cancer

December 22, 2015 Riverside County, Ca. Noah Luce 4, has cancer and had a wish, the wish was to meet a Police Officer. Well Noah got his wish along with a lot more at the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office on December 22, 2015.

From the Riverside County Sheriff’s office Facebook page:

Today the Jurupa Valley Station made a wish come true for 4 year old cancer patient Noah. Noah’s wish was to meet a police officer and RSO was happy to grant that wish and more. Noah and his family were greeted by Sheriff Stan Sniff, given a special station tour and also received gifts galore. And we can’t forget the visit from “Santa” himself, aka Mayor Ike Bootsma from the city of Eastvale. It was an honor to have Noah and his family as our special guests. Thank you to all who participated to make this memorable event possible

The Press Enterprise covered the story and stated of when news of Noah became known “As word spread, donations of gifts and money poured in from both deputies and staff. Local stores, including Stater Bros. and Target, chipped in gift cards.

“We all thought this could be one of our kids,” said office assistant Sue Benedict, who spent several days decorating the briefing room with a tree, giant candy canes and personalized Christmas stockings for each child.”

And there were gifts for Noah’s sisters — 1-year-old Gemma and 6-year-old Lexi — his mother Krystal Conrad and her partner, Jerald Huffman.

In September, doctors removed a 4-pound tumor, Noah’s right kidney and part of his liver. He underwent radiation treatment and is still receiving chemotherapy.

Traveling to treat Noah has cost the family dearly. Jobs have been lost as well as housing. The family has fallen on hard times.

Krystal Conrad, Noah’s mother said that they received a housing subsidy and just moved into a new place in San Bernardino. At Tuesday’s party, they received dishes, utensils, pots and pans that will help them set up housekeeping.

The family is in need of every kind of help that they can get.

Some photos of the event that were taken and posted on the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department are here as well
