Coral Springs Police Department Officer Ryan Liss meets REMARKABLE young man in holiday shopping event

On December 20, 2015 the Police Unity Tour Team CSPD

Posted the following incredible story on it’s facebook page. It shows the positive interaction that Police Officers and kids have on each other when placed in a proper environment and just given time. COPS and KIDS get along great.

This Police Unity Tour Team learned of a touching reflection shared by Officer Ryan Liss of the Coral Springs Police Department. Recently Officer Liss volunteered his time to participate in a local ‘Shop with a Cop’ event. (With his permission to share) Officer Liss had the following to say after being paired with a young man named Zah’Shaune:
“Today I had the pleasure of taking him from school and bringing him to Wal-Mart, where he was given $100 to buy gifts for himself for the holidays. However, this young man is so full of selflessness he used the money to buy gifts for his mom, his baby sister, and even offered to buy me something! These are the moments of police work people don’t see, and these are the events that help young men and women see how positive interactions with police can be. When I retire, I won’t remember every person I arrested, or every report I wrote, but I guarantee you, I’ll remember Zah’Shaune.”
