December 4, 2015 While working as a Deputy Sheriff in Deuel County Nebraska and serving a warrant Mike “Hutch” Hutchinson was shot 4 times and is in critical condition. His very life is in danger and he needs our help!
As reported by the Julesburg Advocate:
Deputy Hutchinson suffered four gun shot wounds in an attempt to serve a warrant on Neil Stretesky of Big Springs, Neb. on Thursday afternoon. Hutchinson suffered two wounds in the upper chest, one in the abdomen and one in the thigh. He also suffers from a broken pelvis.
“Hutch” as he is known, was rushed to Ogallala and underwent emergency surgery to stabilize him before being choppered to North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley. He underwent a second surgery lasting until 2 a.m. on Friday morning.
From updates on the Facebook support page that has been set up for “Hutch” and his family his condition is grave.
Todays update from Karyl—– Mike is still running a fever and fighting the infection. They woke him from sedation for awhile this morning, but was not responsive. He is still using a ventilator and other life support and is facing multiple surgical procedures. He needs prayers now more than ever.
There has been a GoFundMe Page set up for the family who must travel to be with the Deputy as he fights for his life now as well as lost wages during this time. Please help them if you are so inclined and able, the last thing that they should be worried about is having to pay bills.
The family is also asking for your prayers at this time.
