On November 4, 2015 we posted the story about the tragic accident involving 4 children who were orphaned and the Georgia State Trooper who did his best to preserve their Halloween titled “Georgia State Trooper Helps Orphaned Children”. Since that time there has been a media storm and an outpouring of support from the community that was initiated by Trooper Bradley’s kindness and readers such as yourself.
Fox5Altlanta did a follow up on the story with the grandmother of the four children who she will now be caring for and spoke with the oldest of the four children who’s name is Justin.
The grandmother of the four children Stephanie Oliver is thankful for all the support that has been given to the children and is especially thankful for Trooper Bradley and how he had taken such good care of them while she was making her way to Georgia from Florida to take custody of them. She called him “a guardian angel”
Trooper Bradley has been accepted as a member of heir family now and Justin thinks of him as a brother to which his grandmother stated “so do I” with a tear in her eye.
Stephanie said “He kept my grandkids together,” she said. “He is a good man, a good man.”
“They keep saying ‘you have more and more and more’ and every time I hear ‘more’ I just want to cry,” she said. “I didn’t know people I know cared so much. I’ve never dealt with this. Never, it’s just so amazing.”
Trooper Bradley has updated the GoFundMe page he created specifically for the children with clothing sizes and birthdays along with drop off locations. I encourage you to please check the site and help these children if it is within your means since the grandmother was ill equipped to do so.
To date the childrens Go Fund Me page has raised over $4450,000. which will go into a trust toward their higher education costs thanks to people like you.
