Gainesville, Ga. Welfare check of elderly woman, Officers Pay it forward

Gainesville, Ga. September 13, 2015 Officer Kristen Miller was sent to check on the welfare of a 92 year old woman who was left without power due to unforeseen circumstances. The family was concerned for her safety. Officer Miller arrived and found that the woman did indeed have a problem.

Having no power the elderly woman’s food had all gone bad and she had no water to drink. Officer Miller immediately left the residence and went to the store and returned shortly after with water and food for her that she had purchased with her own money.  Another Officer Corporal Jessica Van stayed with the woman until Officer Miller returned.

The woman’s family was so grateful for this act of kindness  that they reported it to wpxi.com who carried the story.
