Waterford, Ct. Dispatchers take a call and respond themselves

August 25, 2015 Waterford, Ct. Dispatchers Laurie Lewis and Ronnie Williams receive a routine call from A 10 year old girls mother who reported that a new bike had been stolen. It was a present to celebrate Keira Gray’s 10th birthday and it was her mother who was reporting the incident. Dispatchers Lewis and Williams did more than just take a report.

Keira’s parents had saved up all year to buy that bike and now it was gone.  Hearing the story about how the bicycle had been stolen saddened the two dispatchers and they decided to take action and bring about something good for this little girl.

The dispatchers rallied the other dispatchers to donate money and buy Keira a new bike, helmet with a lock so it would not be stolen again along with school supplies and gave her the gift to replace what was taken.

Photos were posted on Waterford Police Facebook Page Showing Keira with her birthday presents.
